Here at the Arndale Centre we are always looking for ways to be more sustainable and to lessen our impact on the planet. Recycling and the way we dispose of our waste is a big part of that effort. We also love to get the community involved with our events and this month we would be delighted if you could spare some of your time to have a walk along the beach, promenade and West End Garden’s with us (and one of our biodegradable bags!)
To coincide with Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean, we have pledged to do our bit here in Morecambe and we are starting with a beach clean.
Centre Manager Craig Allen will be leading a beach and promenade clean, joined by representatives from Morecambe Town Council along with other members of the Arndale Centre team!
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts we now have a supply of biodegradable bags and we aim to fill as many as possible.
Everyone is welcome to join us, we will provide the bags but advise you bring some heavy duty gloves and a litter picker if you have them. Meet us at 11am on Monday 28th March at the Battery Car Park and give an hour or so of your time towards the #GBSpringClean.
